1993 Land Rover Defender 110 with 2,481 miles
This bespoke Alpine White 2-door Defender 110 is a fully rebuilt, low-mileage custom build with just 2,400 miles since completion. It blends classic style with serious performance and modern drivability and has spent its life enjoying the beautiful streets and beaches of Martha’s Vineyard.
The build began with a full disassembly—body panels, interior, drivetrain, all removed. The body was lifted from the chassis, rust assessed, and any compromised areas addressed. The frame was upgraded to a new galvanised unit for long-term coastal rust resistance, with all brake lines converted to stainless steel. The original axles, suspension, and body components were refurbished and reused where appropriate.
Under the hood sits a powerful 4.6L Rover V8 paired to a matching automatic transmission. All mounts were fabricated for the conversion, and the correct fuel delivery system and ECU were installed. The engine was thoroughly refreshed with new head gaskets, intake and valley gaskets, and upgraded big-valve performance cylinder heads featuring modern valve components. The drivetrain includes a reconditioned transfer case and custom-fitted automatic transmission console with appropriate gear selectors.
The exterior was transformed into a classic soft-top setup with a hoop set, soft hood, drop-down tailgate, and two-piece doors. Factory grille and early lamp bezels were installed, along with a genuine Euro lamp kit. A winch bumper with a mounted winch (wired in and ready) completes the front end—upgraded with a recommendation to switch to a synthetic line for safety.
Rolling on Freestyle wheels wrapped in BFG Mud Terrain KM3s, the truck is trail-ready with new front and rear mud flaps and a soft poly suspension upgrade. The A-arm ball joint in the rear was replaced and the shocks and springs front and rear are brand new.
Inside, you’ll find custom Sunbrella fabric upholstery—durable, weather-resistant, and tailored for open-top use. Rear bench seats were added in the tub with seat belts installed where possible. A full audio system was integrated with weatherproof component speakers front and rear, a head unit, and amplifier hidden under the front passenger seat. Wiring is cleanly routed for microphone and amp connections.
This Defender restoration is a complete, no-compromise build. Built for adventure, designed to last, and refined for comfort, it’s a rare and capable head-turner ready for both the street, beach, and trails.
The 123 Organic Tequila decals on doors can be removed if desired.
