This 1995 North American Spec Defender 90 Station Wagon is a rare, collector-grade example—#466 of just 500 imported for the U.S. market that year, and one of only 90 finished in Arles Blue. With just 29,700 original miles, two owners from new, and its original paint and interior preserved, this D90 stands among the finest survivors of its kind.
Recently, the truck underwent a comprehensive restoration and mechanical refresh, starting with a full teardown and reassembly. The original chassis was replaced with a new galvanised frame, and the suspension received new springs, shocks, poly bushings, galvanised towers, and stainless steel hardware throughout. The entire braking system is brand new, with upgraded stainless lines and fittings, along with a fully renewed fuel system, including a new pump and stainless fuel lines.
Additional recent work includes new BFG tires, new fender flares, a new alternator and battery, new coolant hoses, braided oil cooler lines, a new radiator, and a reconditioned A/C system with a new condenser, fan, and lines. All brackets, bumpers, and the iconic external roll cage were stripped and powder-coated, and new corrosion-resistant hinges were installed front and rear.
Inside, the original interior was fully reconditioned, the headliner re-covered, and the rear sliding windows upgraded with new seals. All lighting has been updated with LED units, and the body received paintless dent removal and a full paint correction to preserve the factory Arles Blue finish and original patina. A major service was also completed to bring everything up to spec.
This NAS D90 is not a modified off-roader—it’s a rare, meticulously preserved example that has been restored with care to retain its authenticity while ensuring modern reliability — a true investment-grade Land Rover that’s ready for the road or to anchor a serious collection.
